What does a tiger do after securing an unusual meal?

After feeding on the freshwater turtle near the lake in Ranthambore, the tiger carefully stashed the remains and walked back towards the water. The afternoon was hot, and it lowered its head to drink before slowly stepping into the lake to cool down.

Tigers often rest near or inside water during hot weather. Unlike most domestic cats, they are strong swimmers and are comfortable spending time in lakes and pools, especially when temperatures rise.

After drinking and cooling itself, the tiger found a quiet spot nearby and settled down to rest. The hidden turtle was still waiting, ready for the tiger to return when it was hungry again.

From hunting an unusual prey to storing its meal, cooling down and resting, we were able to watch a complete sequence of a tiger’s daily life in Ranthambore.
