When we first found this gorgeous girl, she was fast asleep, her face hidden behind the thin branches on the right. No matter where we positioned our vehicle, we couldn’t get a clear view of her face.
We waited the entire afternoon, hoping she would eventually come down, but she simply slept… and slept… showing no sign of moving.
As the sun began to set behind the hills, and with all the other vehicles finally gone, she suddenly woke up. She stood, stretched, and turned around—finally giving us a clear view of her beautiful face.
The combination of the soft, distant hills behind her and the few leaves framing her from above and in front created the perfect backdrop for this magnificent leopard.
