Two rescued baby elephants are now learning what it means to explore a forest. Lomphat and Chanam were rescued in Cambodia and brought to Phnom Tamao for care. Their recovery has included medical treatment, feeding and close monitoring.
As they became stronger, their caretakers began taking them on daily forest walks. These walks aren't just fun—they help the elephants build strength, confidence and natural skills while allowing them to safely explore their surroundings.
The friendship between the two young elephants makes the story even more heartwarming. Instead of facing recovery alone, they have a companion to explore with. Their progress shows that rescue isn't simply about saving an animal from immediate danger; it is about helping that animal develop a healthier future.
