The truth? The “king” may have the mane, but lionesses are the engine of the pride hunting, raising cubs, defending territory and passing knowledge between generations. In the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Masai Mara, female relationships can even influence survival and reproductive success.
So perhaps we should stop asking “Who is the king?”
…and start asking “Who keeps the kingdom alive?” 🥰
